Drop a preset, then read the red rings. A 60 inch gap stays clear. Anything shorter is marked before you send the plan.

How to use it

Four moves, then the sheet is current

  1. 01
    Open a room.

Classic is a 60 by 40 foot hall. Barn, Gala, Garden, Class, and Tight are the other measured rooms.

  2. 02
    Place real tables.

A 60 inch round is 60 inches across. Chairs add 18 inches. Drag a top or nudge it one inch with the arrow keys.

  3. 03
    Assign the list.

Paste up to 400 guests. Families stay together. A keep-apart pair does not share a table.

  4. 04
    Read one strip.

Rounds, seated guests, and the closest gap sit under the sheet. The dock shows the card, the blueprint, and the poster.

Where it fits

The same inch model, six different rooms

The chair-back gap is center distance minus both radii minus both 18 inch chair depths. Under 60 inches the ring turns red. Under 36 inches it is the tighter mark. Exactly 60 inches is clear.

Switching to metres does not redraw the room in a new size. 60 feet by 40 feet reads 18.29 m by 12.19 m, and the area stays 2,400 sq ft, or 222.97 m². Labels become 1.5 m, 0.9 m, and 0.45 m.

The barn runs are excluded from each other because the ends touch on purpose. The gap between the north run and the south run is exactly 60 inches, so nothing is red.

Tight Venue starts one inch short. The fix walks that pair and moves the later round along the center line until the gap is 60 inches. The far round’s center goes from 255 inches to 256 inches.

Generated meals follow a fixed rule. Guest numbers divisible by 10 are Kids with a child seat. The others cycle Beef, Chicken, Fish, Vegan, and Gluten-free. Classic lands on 30, 30, 30, 30, 15, and 15, and the columns sum to 150.

VIP is the group named VIP. Those ten guests take the seat-bearing table with the smallest center Y, then the smallest center X. On the gala sheet that table is number 1.

Use the wedding seating chart maker when the question is families and the door board. Use the table plan template when the question is the folded card. Use the banquet room layout planner when you only need the count that keeps 60 inches and 36 inches off the wall.

Table diameters and the center spacing behind that count are on the banquet hall capacity calculator. Head-table order and the seven meal words are on the event seating chart generator checklist. Red rings are not a fire-code certificate. Meal words are not medical advice.

A floor image never leaves the browser. Set the real width of the full picture and the scale reads in pixels per foot. The sample image is 600 by 400 pixels; 60 feet across is 10 px/ft.

Free files are a PNG with no watermark, a CSV of name, group, table, and seat, and a project file you open again on this computer. The three paid ZIPs are built on the server from the rows you send, then discarded.

Questions

Straight answers

Is the event floor plan planner free to use?

Yes. There is no account and no use limit for the room, the tables, the red aisle check, and a PNG of the plan. You can also seat up to 400 guests from a paste or a CSV and download a basic seating list.

When does an aisle turn red?

When the open gap between chair backs is under 60 inches, shown as 1.5 metres after you switch units. A gap under 36 inches, shown as 0.9 metres, is the tighter chair-back mark. A gap of exactly 60 inches stays clear.

Do you keep my guest list?

No. The list stays in this browser. Nothing is uploaded into a database. Download a project file if you want a copy, and open that file later on this computer.

What do the paid packs add?

Three print files the free tools do not make: folded tent cards with meal icons, a dimensioned venue drawing with a meal matrix, and a bleed-sized welcome poster. The 14-day pass is $9.99.
